TIRANA, March 27 /ATA/ – Justice overhaul is expected to completely reform the palace of justice, whereas the opposition parties have done nothing but impeded the progress of this process for approval of laws and establishment of new justice bodies, according to SP MP Ervin Bushati.
In a televised interview, Bushati stated that justice reform in Albania is a success story adding that the majority has shown its will to push ahead with this reform.
“We have designed justice reform to restructure the system of justice. Such architecture is not only ours, we have been assisted by our partners as well. Constitutional amendments are further proof of our willingness. We have to concede that every step of the way the opposition has held us back in getting the new laws through parliament.
The institutions will be in place very soon. SPAK (Special Structure against Corruption, High Prosecutorial Council and High Judiciary Council will start to operate very soon and the highlight of all this, including the international representatives, is the judiciary reform. Justice reform is a success story,” Bushati said.
The SP MP touched on opposition protest which, according to him, is being artificially dramatized.
