TIRANA, March 23 /ATA/ “We want to see a strong SP because we know it represents the guarantee for implementation of the necessary reforms for progress in Albania’s EU accession negotiations as shown under the stewardship of PM Edi Rama.”
This is what PM of Spain, Pedro Sánchez Pérez-Castejón, said wishing success to Albania’s SP in the congress.
“We were very pleased to receive an invitation for the SP Congress in light of Albania’s local election on June 30, 2019. Unfortunately, due to the current electoral agenda, we could not come to this event as representatives of the Spanish Socialist Party.
Pérez-Castejón said that we know how important the upcoming local elections are to press on with the crucial measures that your party is implementing at local level as part of the efforts to improve the welfare of Albanians and we want to express our support and best wishes for these polls.
“We are pleased to strengthen the co-operation between our two parties, as members of the Party of European Socialists and as members of the Socialist International,” said Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez Pérez Castejón.
