TIRANA, March 21 /ATA/ – Under the chairmanship of parliament speaker Gramoz Ruçi, parliament of Albania passed on Thursday’s plenary session two bills and three important draft decisions.
Ruçi opened the session with an overview of several draft laws submitted by the Council of Ministers.
The session proceeded with the swearing-in of new opposition MPs, Ralf Gjoni, Enada Koçiraj and Nimet Musaj who had taken the mandates from CEC beforehand.
Afterwards, the head of Water Regulatory Entity Ndriçim Shani presented the report of this institution’s annual performance, which was approved with 73 votes pro and 5 against.
The session continued with the review of the draft law “On ratification of agreement between the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania and the Government of Federal Republic of Germany on financial cooperation 2016 about the project” Investment Program for Electricity Distribution I “.
This draft law was approved with 82 votes pro, none against.
The draft law “On ratification of agreement between the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Albania and Government of the Federal Republic of Germany on technical cooperation 2017 as part of the project” Sustainable development of rural areas ” was passed with 82 votes in favour, none against and no abstentions.
The session continued with the vote of the draft decision “On the expedited review of the draft law” On some amendments and additions to law no. 12/2018, “On Transitional and Periodic Evaluation of State Police Officers, the Guard of the Republic and the Service for Internal Affairs and Complaints at the Ministry of the Interior”. After the discussions, the bill was approved with 73 votes in favor and 4 against.
The draft decision “On an amendment to the decision” On assigning replacement members to permanent commissions “was approved with 82 votes in favor, none against.
