TIRANA, March 21/ATA/-Albania’s Minister of Agriculture Blendi Çuçi said to the Parliament today that the agreement on the 2 million Euro grant with GIZ to be approved today aims at addressing the challenge of consolidation and orientation of agriculture in Albania toward a competitive agriculture.
The ratification of this agreement is an important decision on those living in the rural areas and our economy because it creates a new perspective for development of agriculture, said Çuçi.
He emphasized that agriculture remains an important sector of economy because it contributes with 18.5 % into the GDP while 40% of the population is employed in the sector./j.p/p.s./
