TIRANA, March 20/ATA/-The Chairman of the Central Election Commission (CEC) Klement Zguri and Vice Chairman Denar Biba received today the delegation of the OSCE/ODIHR Needs Assessment Mission.
The OSCE/ODIHR delegation composed by Ana Rusu and Alexey Gromov is in our country to get acquainted from very close with the general pre-electoral situation and the preparations underway for holding of June 30 elections.
CEC Chairman Zguri acquainted the delegation with the activity of CEC and preparations for the electoral process for the local government units.
The OSCE/ODIHR delegation is in our country at invitation of the government of Albania to observe the elections whether they will be in compliance with the standards.
Following the visit, the delegation will draft a report of findings which will also carry the recommendation on the kind and size of the expected monitoring mission of the elections of June 30./j.p/p.s./
