TIRANA, July 24/ATA / – Speaker of the Kosovo Parliament, Kadri Veseli, during his official visit to Italy, was received Tuesday in a special meeting by the Italian Senate President Maria Elisabetta Alberti Casellati, to discuss the Italy’s political support for visa liberalization for the citizens of Kosovo within this year.
During the meeting, the two counterparts discussed the Roma-Pristina excellent relations .
Speaker of Kosovo Parliament Veseli briefed the Italian Parliament Speaker on Kosovo’s development focusing on the European agenda as a national priority.
According to Veseli , the Kosovo institutions have met all the criteria set during this process, while their fulfillment was assessed few days ago by the European Commission, recommending lifting visa requirements for Kosovo citizens.
Italian Senate President Maria Elisabetta Alberti Casellati emphasized that her country will continue to support Kosovo in the inter-state relations as well as the European Union integration process. //a.i/
