TIRANA, July 22/ATA/-Albania’s export increase during the first six-month period of the current year was influenced by the positive contribution of “Construction materials and metals” with +4.5 percentage point as compared with the same period last year.
According to the Institute of Statistics, during the period January-June 2018 the exports of the group “Construction materials and metals” amounted to more than 27 billion lekë and compared with 21 billion lekë over the same period last year implies an increase of 6 billion lekë.
The most of the exports are toward Italy. More than 9.6 billion lekë of construction materials and metals have been taken toward the neighbouring country.
The export of metals and construction materials toward Italy increased during the 6-month period of 2018 by about 1.3 billion lekë as compared with the 6-month period of 2017.
Albania has also exported to Kosovo about 6 billion lekë metals and construction materials or 2 billion lekë more than during the same period in 2017./a.gjonaj//e.caushi/p.s./
