TIRANA, June 28/ ATA /- The European Commission will launch preparatory work for Albania, also known as the screening process, following the decision of the European Council to open accession negotiations.
EEAS Spokesperson for Foreign and Security Policy, Neighbourhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Maja Kocijancic stated during an interview for “Ora News” that, “the preparatory work of EU Foreign Ministers will start soon, in order to be prepared to make the decision in June 2019.”
“The European Commission will continue its commitment to support Albania and Macedonia reform efforts to open accession negotiations in June 2019,” Kocijancic said.
