PRISTINA, June 19 / ATA /- The agreement between Greece and Macedonia on the new name of the neighboring state provides good regional climate and the Euro-Atlantic perspective for the Balkan countries, the Kosovo President Hashim Thaçi stated.
The Kosovo President Hashim Thaçi attended Tuesday a meeting in Pristina with the Deputy Prime Minister of Macedonia, Bujar Osmani.
“Every good news from Macedonia is good news for Kosovo,” the Kosovo President Thaçi stated.
During the meeting the Kosovo President Hashim Thaçi and the Macedonian Deputy Prime Minister Bujar Osmani discussed on the current developments in Macedonia, where Albanian political forces are playing a positive role in advancing political and social rights.
The agreement between Greece and Macedonia is considered of great relevance following the Ohrid Agreement, signed on 13 August 2001, ending Macedonia’s armed conflict between Albanian rebels and Macedonian security forces. //a.i/
