Reception centre for former ISIS fighters? Lleshi: Neither idea nor request for such a thing

TIRANA, June 8 /ATA/ – Prime Minister’s office has reacted after the news spread in the media that a reception centre for former ISIS fighters will be set up in Albania, dismissing such assumptions.
Security Adviser to Prime Minister, Sandër Lleshi, in his reaction, rules out any sort of idea, request, plan or opportunity for such a thing.

Noting that certain fake news of provocative and political nature speculate on a supposedly centre for reception of former ISIS fighters in Albania, security councillor to PM, Sandër Lleshi, rules out any type of idea, request, plan or opportunity for such a thing.

These opinions which refer to a phrase used by PM Borisov are irrelevant to the subject the Bulgarian PM referred to in his statement.

It is about the Coordination Centre against Violent Extremism, which was the host of international conference held a few days ago where PM of Bulgaria took part.

Albania has proposed converting this centre into a regional one to conduct analyses, assessments, studies, exchange of information as well as joint programmes against violent extremism.

No way will this centre become a unit for hosting former ISIS fighters. Not only because no one has ever asked such a thing, but also because this fantasy is irrelevant to the mission of Coordination Centre against Violent Extremism and our project for its regionalization.
