TIRANA, June 1/ATA/- Ermal Meta will perform in a concert at Skanderbeg square in central Tirana on Friday in line with his promise.
The concert is organized by Tirana City Hall.
The Albanian-born Italian singer-songwriter Meta arrived last evening in the capital. Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj held a special meeting with the great singer at the green terrace of the City Hall which offers a panoramic view of the transformed square, the old mosque, but even of the Clock Tower. Italian embassy staff attended the meeting.
Mayor Veliaj posted on Twitter photos with singer Ermal Meta while all the Albanians have been proud of him performing at Sanremo Music Festival and Eurovision Song Contest.
“Not only a great artist, but also a special man. You will see more of him and hear more of his inspiring story that will touch and encourage Albanian youth. Everybody would be welcome in the evening at Skanderbeg square for the great event”, writes Veliaj on the Twitter.
Ermal Meta’s concert on Friday evening has aroused a lot of interest while the Albanians have followed and supported his musical career. /e.malaj/ /a.g/p.s./
