TIRANA, May 7/ATA/-The government is making the greatest ever volume of investments in public infrastructure, said Prime Minister Edi Rama on Monday in Lezha answering to voices that claim that “this government has not built no meter of road”.
In the context of public accountability tour before the residents of Lezha, the prime minister emphasized that, “As a matter of fact, the former prime minister Sali Berisha put a lot of roads to tender, but he didn’t have the money, hence he plunged the country into debt”.
“We have built much more kilometres of roads and paid for them as compared to Berisha government”, said PM Rama.
He emphasized that, “The building of Milot-Balldren will begin within August or September and it will be a road of international standards”.
“It will begin building of the road axis Thumanë-Kashar and the travel time from Lezha to Tirana will be drastically cut. Likewise, the movement will be right”, said PM Rama.
“Within the current governance mandate, every road will be built without any debt and financial gap. This will increase employment and boost economy”, said PM Rama./p.s./
