TIRANA, May 7 /ATA/ – The centre of Fier city will be transformed into a new public space whereas Gjanica river will be an integral part of the new centre of revitalized city.
PM Edi Rama has posted Monday on his Facebook account a video showing the project of National Urban Renaissance Programme.
“Good morning and with this project of National Urban Renaissance Programme, which will transform the centre of Fier from a polluted parking into a new public space as well as Gjanica river from a Lana like river under Berisha-led govt. into an integral part of the new centre of revitalized city,” PM Rama pens.
According to the project, there are two bridges over Gjanica river with one dedicated to pedestrians.
All across the square area there will be cycle lanes beside the pavements.
The new square of Fier will include an underground parking area accessible to two extremities of the square.
Furthermore, the project includes rest areas or tracks. The video shows the new façade of Bylis theatre, whereas the river bed lit up throughout its length looks more enchanting.
