TIRANA, May 3/ATA/-All the prosecutors and judges as well as the politicians will undergo vetting process, stated on Wednesday Prime Minister Edi Rama in the context of the “Government Public Accountability” initiative.
PM Rama said that all the judges and prosecutors who resigned to escape vetting will be recalled to justice, but this time to give account of everything they have done in the justice system.
“Vetting targets to cleanse the system so that in the new palace of justice enter judges and prosecutors who know the rights and wrongs; people free from clutches of politics; people who have taken up position by merit and sort things out properly. Those who leave today will be obliged to return, not in the capacity of judges and prosecutors, but as individuals who must give account to the Albanian justice on what they have done”.
Following the vetting process in the justice system, PM Rama said that the politicians will also be vetted. “The same like the judges even the politicians, from the tallest to the shortest one, will find it insufficient to claim they are fair by themselves and accuse the others of being thieves, but everyone must have to confirm himself appearing at the prosecution office and law court”, said PM Rama./e.caushi/p.s./
