Foreign tourists start flocking to Albanian beaches

TIRANA, April 29 /ATA/- Hundreds of foreigners have started flocking to the Albanian coast, albeit the season has not kicked off, they choose not to pass up the opportunity to bask in the sun.

Shkëmbi I Kavajes beach which extends as far south as Golem is a major attraction for foreign tourists who come back every summer, while the multiple businesses along the coast are getting ready for summer.

Due to high temperatures, this beach is attracting visitors not only over weekends but throughout the week.

Which are the reasons why the foreign tourists and Albanian emigrants choose to spend their summer holidays in Albania?

An English tourist says in an interview with ATA that she comes very often to Albania which she finds very enticing particularly in the south.

I am from England and come every year to Albania and also down to the south, in Piqeras, near Saranda.

I am married to an Albanian and come too often here. I love the tourism that is done here, the beaches are beautiful full of cafe bars and restaurants, so people have a lot to do. I think I have fallen in love with the beaches in the south, where we go every summer, all the villages like Piqeras, Lukova, she says.

Mirjeta Lleshi, a 28-year-old Albanian emigrant in Germany, says in an interview with Albanian Telegraphic Agency that she comes to Albania to spend the holidays, while this year she has the impression that the beach and the surrounding environment are more cleaner than the previous years.
