TIRANA, April 28 /ATA/- By M. Marini/ – “The vetting process will not be confined to the dismissal of corrupt judges and prosecutors as they will be held accountable.
This is what PM Edi Rama stated at the SP National Assembly gathering adding that subsequently, a clean judicial system will vet the politicians.
“People have seen that the genuine fight on the ground and underground to push ahead with justice reform, the extreme confrontation with the tent set up in the middle of the boulevard to undermine vetting, was worth the effort, and everything turned out the way we presented it, Rama said.
“The Palace of Justice has begun to crumble, yet we are not done with the fight against corruption. The vetting of justice system will hold all those thrown out of the system to account,” PM said.
In response to the common question among public opinion why vetting did not start with the govt. and politicians, Rama said such a thing will be done once the justice system is purged of corrupt judges and prosecutors.
We should be proud, Rama stressed, that SP has proved itself to be the only forward-looking force in the course of its history, despite the shortcomings and mistakes along the way.
