TIRANA, April 25/ATA/-Arbëreshi community positively assesses the transformation of Albania’s capital, Tirana, during the recent years.
Tirana Mayor Erion Veliaj received on Wednesday a delegation of 60 people from Arbëreshi community of Italy, in the composition of which was even Loris Castriota Scanderbeg, great-grandson of our National Hero George Kastriot Scanderbeg.
During the meeting, Lungro Mayor Giuseppino Santoianni and Casalvecchio Mayor Noè Andreano emphasized that Tirana has been transformed into an open construction site and work is underway for a sustainable development of the city.
On his part, Veliaj said that Tirana is working to make up for the lost time in the last 27 years. He also expressed his pleasure for the Arbëreshi people being in Albania in this Year of Scanderbeg.
While Loris Castriota Scanderbeg highlighted the results achieved in the course of the years for improvement of infrastructure and other fields thanks to which Albania has received more and more positive evaluations./m.z//r.e/p.s./
