TIRANA, April 13/ATA/-The demand for vocational training is growing and the capacity of the vocational education infrastructure is increased, emphasized on Friday Prime Minister Edi Rama.
During a visit to the “Forschner” German factory in Vaqarr, Tirana, specialized in production of engine cabling systems, frame cabling and door wiring harnesses for trucks, busses and special vehicles, Prime Minister Edi Rama reminded that, “Four years ago no one attended vocational training considering it a farce. Now people have understood that this is the way to get employed. As a matter of fact, people who have got vocational education have an employment probability equal to those of higher education and certainly a greater probability than those who have attended the general school education. To build capacities remains a challenge”, said PM Rama.
Speaking about the scheme of encouraging employment, PM Rama said that the government has envisaged the financial package to support the one-three months training with payment which is higher than the average amount of the economic assistance.
“Forschner” sets a positive example of the new approach on the triangle Employer-National Labour Service-Employee on the way of how to assist the job-seekers and employers in filling the vacancies and professional moulding in the workplace.
“Forschner” began its activity in Albania in 2016 and at present in its two factories in Vaqarr and Xhafzotaj it has a workforce of 430 workers employed even in cooperation with the labour offices.
The company plans to increase up to 1600 workers by 2019.
It applies the model of vocational training at the workplace and through courses in the country and abroad.
The company representatives said that 60% of those employed used to be on internship in the factory while several heads of production lines used to begin work as common workers in 2016. /k.s/ /a.g/p.s./
