TIRANA, March 8/ATA/-Albania will offer joint tourist packages with regional countries for the third markets.
Albania’s Minister of Environment and Tourism Blendi Klosi presented this novelty during the International Tourism Trade Fair that is taking place in Berlin.
Being a guest to the ministerial conference on tourism and a keynote speaker on tourism developments as a representative of the Balkans, Minister Klosi emphasized that Albanian market is important, but it must operate in coordination with the local partners in preparing joint tourist packages for Asian market.
“Albanian market is important, but it must operate in coordination with the local partners. The creation of joint packages with Serbian, Montenegrin, Kosovo and Macedonian partners is to have the opportunity and convert these joint state policies into policies of joint business for the tour operators. And that is one of the novelties of the fair. We shall invite as many regional tour operators as possible to join so that to have the opportunity of a joint tourist offer to the big Asian and American market beyond the ocean”, said the minister.
Appreciating the Berlin Fair as one of the most important events in the world, Minister Klosi expressed his satisfaction that the Albanian tour operators confirm they are more and more present in the market of tourism business in the Mediterranean.
During several meetings with investors, Minister Klosi got assurances that Albania is in the focus of their interest for investment in resorts and 4 to 5 star hotels. While the biggest tour operators have already taken the decision to enter into Albania, too.
However, Minister Klosi acknowledged that hotel-keeping capacity is restricted and therefore Albania still doesn’t manage to meet all the market requirements.
