TIRANA, Feb 11 /ATA/ -The Prince of Malta, Alfred Josef Baldacchino, is on a one- week visit to Albania where he is touring several cities to gain an insight into the culture and history of our country.
In an interview with ATA, Prince Baldacchino, who visits Albania for the first time, said that he has marveled over the beauty of Albanian territory.
Asked about the cooperation between the two countries, Prince Baldacchino said that Malta and Albania have great potentials to increase cooperation in sectors as diverse as tourism, culture or education.
Concerning economic cooperation between the two countries, Prince Baldacchino stressed that Albania is competitive and as a developing country any foreign investment would be instrumental in creating job openings.
“ Albania is still on development stage. The more foreign investments, the more jobs are created. All this results in increase of demand and domestic production. For sure, you have a very encouraging future ahead,” Maltese Prince says
He affirmed that in Malta Albania is advertised as a destination for foreign investors. “To the best of my knowledge, great efforts are being made to promote Albania. There are many Maltese citizens who have invested in Albania,” he said.
On Saturday, the Prince of Malta, Alfred Josef Baldacchino, at the same time rector of “Sancti Cyrilli” university attended the scientific conference in Tirana “Tourism and migration, economic policies in the Mediterranean zone,” with special focus on development of tourism along the Mediterranean.
