TIRANA, May 23 /ATA/ – By I. Vata/ – Prime Minister Edi Rama extended his best greetings to the Muslim believers on the auspicious occasion of Eid al-Fitr on Saturday.
“Happy Eid al-Fitr, may the peace and mercy of Allah be upon you,” PM Rama said in his greetings message to all Muslim faithful on the occasion of the holy festival.
Muslims all over the world celebrate Eid al-Fitr that marks the end of Ramadan, the Islamic holy month of fasting, during which believers observed a 30-day fasting in a sign of sacrifice and devotion to God.
The Eid al-Fitr is celebrated with the Eid prayers. The Eid prayer is considered an obligation for Muslims. Prophet Muhammad placed special importance to ordering Muslims to observe this prayer.
