US Embassy in Tirana priority is to protect and support Americans in Albania. As the State Dept has previously advised, you should return as soon as possible to the US unless you are prepared to stay outside the US indefinitely, the US Ambassador to Albania Yuri Kim said during an important message for U.S. citizens in Albania.
“As we continue to fight against the coronavirus, President Trump and Secretary of State Pompeo have made clear that the number one priority for American Embassy and Consulates around the world is to protect and support our citizens. I want to repeat the State Department advisory; with orders closing and international flight diminishing, we again urge the US citizens to arrange for immediate return to the United States, unless you are prepared to remain outside the US for an indefinite period. The Embassy has posted this advice multiple times and I want personally to draw your attention to it; Let me be clear this is an advisory notice not an order, I want to make sure you have seen the Department messages, and understand that if you intend to return to the US, you must act now before the window of available travel closes,” the US Ambassador Kim said. //a.i/
