TIRANA, June 6 /ATA/-Following the success of the marathon and the “Green Track” bicycle race, Albanian capital Tirana will host another major sports event. About 180 sportsmen from 15 different countries of the world will compete in the 14th edition of the oldest competition in the Balkans, “Rally Albania”.
The sportsmen participating “Rally Albania” compete in 4 categories: Moto, Quad, Car, Ssv.
There is a 2000 km long itinerary to be traversed in 7 days from the North to the South of Albania beginning from the capital Tirana.
The opening event is set on June 9 at 20:00-23:00 hrs.
Tirana citizens are expected to find a lot of pleasant surprises while the race is set to begin on the next day at “Mother Teresa” square at 10 hrs a.m.
The awards ceremony will take place on June 16.
This current year there will also be a space dedicated to motorcycling fans set at the centre of “Mother Teresa” square. There all the well-wishers can get acquainted from very close with the competitors and their motorbikes. They can also spend the evening in the company of friends of cars and motorbikes and under the musical sounds of an artistic show.
The race is expected to get the adrenalin going and offer entertainment to the people fond of this sport./p.s./
