EU should give go-ahead for visa liberalization with Kosovo – Rama

TIRANA, April 4 /ATA/- The EU should be true to its word and liberalize as soon as possible the movement for the citizens of Kosovo.

At a media briefing after the Balkan Conference of the European Socialist Party in Tirana, PM Edi Rama stressed the importance of visa liberalization for Kosovo.

“In this process we are very much focused on the moment of opening the EU accession negotiations, but we will never forget that this process of further alignment with EU is another side of the coin for us Albanians, the necessity for EU to keep the word and liberalize as soon as possible the movement for Kosovo citizens,” Rama said.

He was adamant that not only did the President of ESP share the same view, he was particularly focused on these moments of processes adding with his public position a crucial element for all our countries.

“I thank my dear friend as I have put it before and I will not change an iota of what I have said- an outstanding Albanian, Albin Kurti and Fatmir Limaj for representing in this conference their parties. Our friends from Kosovo are part of this conference and this conference has been arranged long ago,” Rama said.
